Knee and joint pain due to menopause

I have been experiencing some symptoms in the last 6 months, irregular periods, fuzzy thinking, moods swings, and assume I am perimenopausal.  In the last month or so I have been having pain in my knee joints. Can this be related to fluctuating hormones?

Joint pain can be associated with perimenopause because of estrogen fluctuations. You can gain some relief through exercise and finding ways to decrease your stress level.

I am perimen. & am starting month 5 with no period.  My weight has jumped but the worst is the pain in the joints of my hands...It just started one day a couple months ago. My Dr said I had tendonitis & gave me a short run of celebrex. It was no help.....could it be menopause? I wont use synthetic hormones & will use bioidenticals when the time comes.  Thanks
