Late Menstruation

I am 38-year-old lady and I do not have kids. My next menstruation is 7 days late. I do not any disease and have not had a sexual relationship in the last few years. What do I need to use for my menstruation to come back? I still want to have a kid. I live in Serbia . I am very afraid that I can not have kids ever.

Relax. Sounds like you have put yourself under a lot of pressure to have children. If you are under stress, your periods can be late.

Husband's Guide for Menopause

I need a "Husband's Guide to Dealing with Menopause." Is there such literature?

I have yet to come across such a book. But since you asked and are obviously involved in menopause, why don't you write one?

Pregnancy

How long do periods have to be absent before there is no risk of pregnancy?

Answer
One full year usually signals full menopause and the end of ovulation.

Hot Flashes

I believe that I have been in perimenopause for a few years now as my period has gone from 6 or 7 days to 3 or 4 days. Within the last 6 months or so from time to time I have been getting hot and my skin turns red. Now I would believe that it's your typical case of hot flashes if it didn't ITCH. Do hot flashes itch? I can live with the sudden onset of heat and looking like a boiled lobster but that itch has GOT to GO!! It's driving me BERSERK!!! My P.A. thinks it's some type of allergic reaction but I'm leaning more towards menopause. Oh, by the way, I'm 48 years old.

If you are talking about vaginal itching, that is definitely a sign of menopause. I experienced extreme itching on my arms and legs every year for a couple of months. It would start up in the evening and I would spend hours trying not to claw away at myself. This seems to have stopped since I started taking Evening Primrose Oil (internally).
