Fluid Retention Treatment

Fluid retention is relatively easy to manage.

Conventional Approach: There is a basic three prong approach to fluid retention which is the basis for good general health. Eat a healthy diet low in salt, sugar and excess calories. Get exercise at least three times a week and everyday for maximum benefit.

Drink between 8 to 10 eight ounce glasses of water a day. This is the toughest one to achieve. Try keeping a glass and filled water container by your work station and in your car. I carry a reusable, filled water bottle everywhere I go and I never feel dehydrated.

Complimentary Therapies: Green tea is considered a natural diuretic and should be consumed daily if retention is your problem.

Herbal Remedies: There are several good remedies one of which is dandelion tea, which is highly regarded. Homeopathic Remedies: Natrum mur may be beneficial.
